Positive lmpacts<br />

Additional facilities (associated with construction) shall contribute to general<br />

development of the district and will have direct and indirect positive<br />

impacts on revenues and living standards of the population.<br />

Electricity generated by the plant will contribute to economic, industrial,<br />

and agricultural development in the entire <strong>Krasnodar</strong> Territory and further<br />

increase employment opportunities.<br />

The quality and reliability of the water supply for Mostovskoy village will<br />

improve due to the commissioning of a water intake in Andryuki village<br />

associated with the project.<br />

The construction of housing, sports facilities, medical centers,<br />

transportation, and other facilities associated with the project will cause<br />

considerable socio-economic improvement due to increased employment<br />

opportunities and improved living standards.<br />

There will be no resettlement of the population.<br />

Insignificant lmpacts<br />

The power plant facilities are estimated to have no to an insignificant<br />

impact on the ecological system of the Caucasus biosphere reserve and will<br />

not disrupt its preservation regulations.<br />

lmpacts on surface and ground water, accounting for the mitigating<br />

measures to be taken, shall be insignificant.<br />

lmpacts on aquatic and terrestrial biota shall be insignificant.<br />

lmpacts caused by noise are not anticipated due to the noise mitigation<br />

measures to be taken; however site personnel may have some noise<br />

exposure.<br />

The proposed routings of the transmission lines are far enough away from<br />

population centers such that EMF exposure will not exceed regulatory<br />

limits.<br />

As no known flight paths intersect proposed transmission line routings,<br />

there will be no impact on bird migration.<br />
