The Brazilian Swimming Federation (CBDA) is the<br />

national governing body for the following five Olympic<br />

sports – Swimming, Water Polo, Synchronised<br />

Swimming, Diving and Open Water Swimming. Originally<br />

founded in 1955 as the Brazilian Swimming<br />

Confederation, the CBDA is among the three most<br />

successful NGBs in Brazil in terms of technical results<br />

and sponsor support.
