In the article, Bell quoted and discussed Colossians<br />

2:9, then dealt with the trinity, and concluded as follows:<br />

Now, it is a wonder how He [Jesus] could be God,<br />

or God could dwell in Him. It is more a wonder that<br />

the whole “Godhead” dwells in him. It is still a greater<br />

wonder that the fulness <strong>of</strong> the Godhead dwells in him;<br />

and a wonder on wonders how all the fulness <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Godhead is in Jesus. But all this is declared <strong>of</strong> our glorious<br />

Christ.<br />

Don’t be afraid the Father and the Holy Ghost will<br />

be left out. We all believe in God the Father and in the<br />

blessed Holy Ghost. We can expect to continue to<br />

speak <strong>of</strong> both, just as the Apostles do in the New<br />

Testament, whenever occasion demands it and when<br />

that is our subject; but just now our subject is the<br />

wonders in Christ.<br />

It is unreasonable, when magnifying Jesus as<br />

Lord, to expect us to stop and mystify our readers<br />

with the Greek mysteries about the Trinity. Anyway,<br />

few even after years <strong>of</strong> study on the Trinity, know<br />

much more about it than when they began. . . . So<br />

don’t let anyone make you go into hysterics over the<br />

mysteries <strong>of</strong> the Trinity being neglected while we are<br />

exalting Jesus Christ. I never knew <strong>of</strong> any one being<br />

saved by a study <strong>of</strong> the Trinity, but exalting Jesus the
