A Night to
Remember!

from all over our region on
June 18th at the Omni Hotel San
Diego for the 31st Annual Pacific Southwest
Emmy Awards. The evening started with
cocktails andsumptuous fresh seafood appetizers
by The Oceanaire Seafood Room
in the hotel’s lounge overlooking the bay and PETCO
Park. After a gourmet dinner of Char Crusted Chicken
Breast and Horseradish Dusted Salmon, the awards
got underway in the Omni Hotel’s Grand Ballroom.
The coveted Emmy was awarded to 125 program and
craft entries and it seemed as if everyone was there to
pick up their statuette. After receiving their statuette
and saying their thanks, recipients moved backstage

for a photo. Besides
announcing the Emmy recipients, the evening was
also an occasion to induct long-time local producer
Mike Kurtz into the Silver Circle and award $10,000 in
scholarships to outstanding college students.

Duplicate Emmy
Statuettes Available
This year for the first time, duplicate
2005 Emmy Statuettes will be available
for purchase by Stations and Production
Houses. The cost of a duplicate
Statuette will be $250.00. At this
time, the duplicate statuettes are only
offered for Programming Categories.
