6 Repeat these steps for the background<br />

bitmap in the Top viewport.<br />

Creating the three-dimensional sole curve<br />

Now that the shoe image is calibrated, you can trace elements of the image to create the<br />

last model. Start with the curve that defines the bottom of the last.<br />

To create the sole construction curves<br />

1 In the Top viewport, start the InterpCrv comm<strong>and</strong>. (Curve menu: Free-form ><br />

Interpolate Points)<br />

2 Using the seam as a guide, draw a curve<br />

that follows the outline of the sole.<br />

A curve with 20 to 25 control points is<br />

usually enough. Edit the control points if<br />

the curve needs adjustment.<br />
