charm. Rooms are ‘rustic modern’, with

to Sfr35) rustles up local favourites.
Hotel Lötschberg/Susi’s B&B HOTEL $$

this hotel and B&B off er reasonable
value. The old-style rooms are bright and

Arnold’s B&B B&B $

urban air with its glass walls, wine-red sofas,
lounge music and street-facing terrace. The
TV show Funky Kitchen Club is fi lmed here.
The menu stars creative fl avours like perch
fi lets with guacamole and Simmentaler veal
with creamy basil mash.
Blueberry’s CAFE $

zingy as its name suggests, this lime-walled
cafe churns out fresh-pressed juices (try
watermelon or apple-mint), appetising wraps

Next to Balmer’s, this hole-in-the-wall den
is authentically Thai, festooned with pics of

curries and spicy papaya salads.
La Terrasse FUSION $$$

is a high-class vision of marble, chandeliers
and gleaming silverware. Thanks to chef
Lukas Stalder, the food is as exquisite as the
setting. The sommelier will help you choose

roasted scallops with lemon verbena kefi r,
cherries and liquorice salt.
Goldener Anker INTERNATIONAL $$

beamed restaurant. The globetrotting menu
tempts with everything from sizzling fajitas

zebra-striped cafe is a great snack spot.
Choose your bread and get creative with
