Known as "Collegiate church of Saint
Mary“ or “Pro-Cathedral of Saint
Mary” it is the oldest church in the
city. It was designed by Melchor
Prado Mariño and built in 1836 in
neoclassic style, although its towers
are baroque.

ESTONIA JÕHVI

Russian Orthodox Church in Jõhvi.
St. Michael's Church is a fortified church
in Jõhvi. It was founded in the 14th
century.

Ivangorod`s Castle is located in Russia (the former Ingria) on
the right bank of the Narva River. It is opposite Narva Castle.
Its name comes from the Grand Duchess of Mosco-Ivan III.

on the bank of
river Narva and on
the border of
Russia and
Estonia for
already about 7
centuries.

Old Town Hall in Narva,

KUREMÄE MONASTERY
It is an Orthodox convent
which is located near Jõhvi.
The monastery was founded
at the end of the 19th
century. The monastery
buildings form a coherent
whole.

St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Orthodox Church in Tallinn.
The church is located directly opposite Toompea castle, and it was
built in 1900.

fountain. The author got inspiration
for this nice idea when he saw a
young couple kissing.
