1. CONTRACTUAL SPECIFICATIONS<br />

THIS RIDER AGREEMENT IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CONTRACT TO WHICH IT IS<br />

ATTACHED AND MUST REMAIN ATTACHED TO SUCH CONTRACT AT ALL TIMES.<br />

ANY ALTERATION TO THE TERMS OF THIS RIDER OR THE CONTRACT HAS NO<br />

VALIDITY AND SERVES NO PURPOSE, UNLESS AUTHORISED BY THE ARTISTE’S<br />

REPRESENTATION.<br />

THE FACILITIES AND GENERAL ARTISTE REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED IN THIS RIDER<br />

ARE TO BE PROVIDED BY THE MANAGEMENT AT NO COST TO THE ARTISTE.<br />

THE CLAUSES CONTAINED IN THIS RIDER AGREEMENT ARE INTENDED TO ENSURE<br />

THAT THE ARTISTE HAS ALL THE NECESSARY FACILITIES TO PRESENT A<br />

PERFORMANCE OF THE HIGHEST PROFESSIONAL STANDARD.<br />

IT IS APPRECIATED THAT NOT ALL OF THESE CLAUSES ARE APPROPRIATE FOR<br />

EVERY ENGAGEMENT AND SOME COMPROMISES ARE POSSIBLE.<br />

IF THERE ARE ANY QUERIES WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE CLAUSES CONTAINED IN<br />

2. CONTRACTUAL SPECIFICATIONS<br />

NO PORTION OF THE PERFORMANCE RENDERED HEREUNDER MAY BE RECORDED,<br />

FILMED, TAPED OR EMBODIED IN ANY FORM FOR THE PURPOSE OF<br />

REPRODUCTION, RE-BROADCAST OR ANY OTHER USE.<br />

THE MANAGEMENT AGREES IT WILL PREVENT ANY SUCH RECORDING FROM BEING<br />

MADE.<br />

THE MANAGEMENT WILL ALSO POST SIGNS AT ALL ENTRANCES TO THE VENUE OR<br />

HALL WITH REGARD TO THIS STATING THAT NO RECORDING OR FILMING IS TO BE<br />

MADE, ANY PERSON DOING SO WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE VENUE OR HALL A<br />

VIOLATION OF THIS CLAUSE SHALL FURNISH ABSOLUTE GROUNDS FOR THE<br />

ARTISTE’S REFUSAL TO PERFORM THEREAFTER, AND IN THIS EVENT ALL COSTS,<br />

INCLUDING THE ARTISTE’S GUARANTEED FEE AND PERCENTAGE OVERRIDE DUE<br />

TO THE ARTISTE BASED ON BOX OFFICE SALES, SHALL BE BORNE BY THE<br />

MANAGEMENT.<br />

IN ADDITION NO PHOTOGRAPHERS SHALL BE ISSUED WITH PHOTO PASSES OR<br />

ALLOWED BACKSTAGE BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER THE PERFORMANCE WITHOUT<br />

THE EXPRESS PERMISSION OF THE ARTISTE TOUR / PRODUCTION MANAGER.<br />

NO OTHER ACT MAY APPEAR ON THE SAME PROGRAMME WITHOUT THE ARTISTE’S<br />

PRIOR CONSENT. THE ARTISTE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE THE LENGTH<br />

AND NATURE OF THE OTHER ACTS PERFORMANCE.<br />

IT IS AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD THAT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC LIABILITY<br />

RESTS WITH THE ARTISTE AND IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE<br />

MANAGEMENT AND THAT THE MANAGEMENT WILL MAINTAIN AN ADEQUATE<br />

PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE POLICY IN FULL EFFECT FOR THE DURATION OF<br />

THIS CONCERT. NOR WILL THE ARTISTE BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEATH,<br />

ACCIDENT OR INJURY HOWSOEVER CAUSED, INCURRED BY ANY OF THE<br />

MANAGEMENT OF THEIR EMPLOYEES DURING THE CURRENCY OF THIS<br />

CONTRACT.<br />

THE MANAGEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACEMENT OF ARTISTES AND<br />

ARTISTES’ SUB-CONTRACTORS EQUIPMENT STOLEN OR DESTROYED DUE TO THE<br />

MANAGEMENT’S NEGLIGENCE.<br />

OR ANY EQUIPMENT STOLEN OR DESTROYED WHILE HANDLED BY LOCAL STAGE<br />

CREW OR LOCAL CONTRACTORS.<br />

BILLING<br />

1. THE ARTISTE SHALL RECEIVE 100% SOLE TOP BILLING AS:<br />

URIAH HEEP<br />

IN ALL ADVERTISING, PROMOTION AND PUBLICITY PERTAINING TO THE<br />

ENGAGEMENT AND THE ARTISTE’S LOGO WILL BE USED WHEREVER<br />

POSSIBLE IN ALL SUCH ADVERTISING, PROMOTION AND PUBLICITY.<br />

ALL ARTWORK FOR ADVERTISING SHALL BE PROVIDED BY AND APPROVED<br />

BY THE ARTISTE (UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED). ALL COPY TO BE E-<br />

MAILED TO THE ARTISTES MANAGEMENT AT<br />

QEDG@QEDG.CO.UK<br />

2. THE ARTISTE’S NAME, LIKENESS OR THE NAME OF ANY INDIVIDUAL MEMBER OF<br />

URIAH HEEP IS NOT TO BE CONNECTED IN ANY WAY WITH ANY FORM OF<br />

SPONSORSHIP OR ENDORSEMENT OF ANY KIND INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO<br />

COMMERCIAL OR POLITICAL, WITHOUT THE PRIOR WRITTEN AGREEMENT OF THE<br />

ARTISTE’S REPRESENTATION.<br />

STAGE<br />

3. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE A STAGE OF FIRM CONSTRUCTION ON<br />

ONE LEVEL OF AT LEAST 30 FEET (9.23 METERS) WIDE (FROM SIDE TO SIDE), 20<br />

FEET (8.15 METERS) DEEP (FROM FRONT TO BACK, 3 FEET (0.92 METERS) HIGH<br />

(FROM VENUE FLOOR TO STAGE FLOOR) AND HAVE A MINIMUM HEADROOM<br />

CLEARANCE OF 30 FEET (9.23 METERS) (ABOVE THE STAGE FROM STAGE FLOOR TO<br />

THE LOWEST POINT ABOVE THE STAGE AREA).<br />

4. STRONG PA WINGS MUST BE PROVIDED EITHER SIDE OF THE STAGE FRONT AND AT<br />

THE SAME HEIGHT AS THE STAGE, SUCH PA WINGS TO BE NOT LESS THAN 12 FEET<br />

(3,69 METERS) WIDE AND 6 FEET (1.85 METERS) DEEP.<br />

5. AN AREA AT THE SIDE OR REAR OF THE STAGE IS TO BE PROVIDED FOR THE<br />

STORAGE OF THE ARTISTES FLIGHT CASES AND SPARE EQUIPMENT DURING THE<br />

PERIOD OF ENGAGEMENT.<br />

POWER SUPPLY<br />

6. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE AT NO COST TO THE ARTISTE AND<br />

WITHIN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE STAGE, AN ELECTRICITY SUPPLY TO THE<br />

FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS:<br />

A) FOR THE PA. SYSTEM AND ARTISTE’S STAGE EQUIPMENT — SINGLE PHASE OF<br />

100 AMPS TERMINATING IN AN ISOLATOR<br />

B) FOR THE STAGE LIGHTING SYSTEM - THREE PHASES OF 100 AMPS<br />

TERMINATING IN AN ISOLATOR. THIS SUPPLY MUST BE ENTIRELY INDEPENDENT<br />

FROM THAT IN A) ABOVE.<br />

7. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE AT NO COST TO THE ARTISTE A<br />

QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO BE AT THE VENUE FROM THE TIME OF THE ARTISTE’S<br />

EQUIPMENT ARRIVAL, TO THE TIME THAT THE ARTISTE FINISHES WITH THE<br />

ELECTRICAL SUPPLY IN A AND B) ABOVE.<br />

ARRIVAL / STAGEHANDS / EQUIPMENT SET-UP<br />

8. IT IS AGREED THAT THE ARTISTE WILL HAVE EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO THE USE OF<br />

THE STAGE, ELECTRICAL SUPPLY, BACKSTAGE AREA AND AUDITORIUM AT<br />

LEAST SIX (6) HOURS PRIOR TO THE ADMISSION OF THE AUDIENCE. A<br />

REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MANAGEMENT MUST BE PRESENT AT THE ARTISTE’S<br />

ROAD CREW’S TIME OF ARRIVAL.<br />

9. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE AT NO COST TO THE ARTISTE FOUR<br />

(UNLESS THE VENUE HAS STAIRS ON THE LOAD IN, IN WHICH CASE WE NEED 6)<br />

SUITABLE, STRONG ENGLISH SPEAKING STAGEHANDS TO ASSIST WITH THE<br />

UNLOADING, SETTING-UP, DISMANTLING, AND RELOADING OF THE ARTISTE’S<br />

EQUIPMENT. SUCH STAGEHANDS MUST BE AVAILABLE FROM THE ROAD CREW’S<br />

TIME OF ARRIVAL UNTIL DISMISSED BY THE ARTISTE’S ROAD MANAGER, AND<br />

THEN AT A TIME TO BE SET BY THE ARTISTE’S ROAD MANAGER FOR EQUIPMENT<br />

DISMANTLING AND RELOADING AFTER THE PERFORMANCE.<br />

10. THE ARTISTE SHALL HAVE THE FIRST RIGHT OF SET-UP FOR ALL INSTRUMENTS<br />

AND STAGE EQUIPMENT, AND THESE SHALL NOT BE MOVED, RE-LOCATED OR<br />

USED BY ANY OTHER PERSON WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE ARTISTE ROAD<br />

MANAGER.<br />

11. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE AT NO COST TO THE ARTISTE, A<br />

MINIMUM OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING, WHICHEVER IS APPLICABLE:<br />

A) TWO EXPERIENCED ENGLISH SPEAKING FOLLOWSPOT OPERATORS WHEN THE<br />

VENUE IS OF A STANDARD CONCERT TYPE.<br />

B} SIX EXPERIENCED ENGLISH SPEAKING FOLLOWSPOT OPERATORS WHEN THE<br />

EVENT IS OF A FESTIVAL/ARENA TYPE.<br />

DRESSING ROOMS & CREW ROOM<br />

12. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING EXCLUSIVE ARTISTE<br />

DRESSING ROOM AND ROAD CREW ROOM FACILITIES<br />

FOR THE ARTISTE - 2 ROOMS SUITABLE FOR AT LEAST SIX PERSONS IN EACH,<br />

WITH TABLES, COMFORTABLE CHAIRS, MIRRORS, WASHING AND TOILET<br />

FACILITIES, AND AN ELECTRICAL POWER POINT, 8 LARGE BATH TOWELS IN EACH<br />

ROOM, LIGHTING, SUITABLE HEATING AND TO BE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE<br />

STAGE<br />

FOR THE CREW - A ROOM FOR GEAR TUNING, TESTING, REPAIRING, ETC. SUCH<br />

ROOM TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO ELECTRICAL POWER POINTS, TABLES OR<br />

WORK TOPS, CHAIRS, LIGHTING, SUITABLE HEATING AND BE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY<br />

TO THE STAGE.<br />

THE ROOMS ABOVE MUST BE LOCKABLE AND THE KEYS GIVEN TO THE ARTISTE’S<br />

ROAD MANAGER AT THE TIME OF HIS ARRIVAL. ACCESS FROM THE ARTISTE’S<br />

ROOM TO THE STAGE MUST NOT ENTAIL PASSING THROUGH THE AUDIENCE.<br />

THE PERFORMANCE<br />

13. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS A PERIOD OF AT<br />

LEAST THIRTY MINUTES IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE ARTISTE TIME OF<br />

PERFORMANCE DURING WHICH TIME THE ARTISTE’S ROAD CREW WILL HAVE<br />

EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO THE STAGE FOR THE PURPOSE OF CHECKING EQUIPMENT.<br />

14. THE ARTISTE’S PERFORMANCE IS APPROXIMATELY SEVENTY-FIVE MINUTES<br />

PLUS ENCORES AND IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MANAGEMENT TO ENSURE<br />

THAT THERE IS SUFFICIENT TIME FOR THE ARTISTE TO GIVE A FULL<br />

PERFORMANCE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR CURTAILMENT FOR ANY REASON<br />

WHATSOEVER.<br />

A SUPPLY OF NOT LESS THAN 8 BLACK TOWELS FOR THE USE OF THE ARTIST<br />

DURING THE PERFORMANCE ON STAGE, TO BE PLACED IN THE BANDS DRESSING<br />

ROOM NO LATER THAN 4 HOURS PRIOR TO THE PERFORMANCE.<br />

SOUND LEVELS<br />

THE MANAGEMENT AGREE THAT NO RESTRICTIONS SHALL EXIST WITH REGARD<br />

TO SOUND LEVELS AT ANYTIME UP TO AND INCLUDING THE ARTISTE’S<br />

PERFORMANCE. IF A DB SOUND LEVEL/LIMIT HAS BEEN SET BY LOCAL<br />

GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES, THE PRODUCTION MANAGER SHOULD BE INFORMED<br />

4 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE PERFORMANCE AND ALL PAPERWORK WILL BE<br />

MADE AVAILABLE.<br />

RADIO FREQUENCIES<br />

IF A RADIO LICENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THE USE OF ALL THE ARTIST RADIO<br />

EQUIPMENT AS USED AS PART OF THE ARTISTS EQUIPMENT FOR THE FULFILMENT<br />

OF THE SHOW THEN THIS SHALL BE ACQUIRED BY THE MANAGEMENT AT NO COST<br />

TO THE ARTIST.<br />

IF THE ARTIST NEEDS TO REPLACE ANY RADIO EQUIPMENT OR SUB RENT<br />

ADDITIONAL RADIO EQUIPMENT FOR THE ARTIST TO PERFORM THIS WILL BE AT<br />

THE COST OF THE MANAGEMENT AND NO COST TO THE ARTIST.<br />

SECURITY<br />

15. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE AT NO COST TO THE ARTISTE<br />

SUITABLE EXPERIENCED SECURITY PERSONNEL AT ALL ENTRY POINTS TO THE<br />

STAGE, BACKSTAGE AREA AND DRESSING ROOMS, TO ENSURE THAT ONLY<br />

AUTHORISED PERSONS CONNECTED DIRECTLY WITH THE PRODUCTION ARE<br />

PERMITTED ACCESS.<br />

16. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES TO PROVIDE A STURDY BARRIER, WITH SUITABLE<br />

SECURITY PERSONNEL, IN FRONT OF THE STAGE, SO THAT NO MEMBER OF THE<br />

AUDIENCE CAN GAIN ACCESS TO THE STAGE.<br />

A WELL-CONSTRUCTED SECURITY BARRIER MUST BE ERECTED 1.5MTR FROM THE<br />

DOWNSTAGE EDGE OF THE STAGE AND RUNNING ITS ENTIRE WIDTH INCLUDING THE<br />

PA WINGS. THE BARRIER SHOULD BE 1.25M HIGH AND SHOULD BE AN<br />

ACOUSTIC BARRIER AT EACH END FOR SOUND TO TRAVEL. THIS BARRIER<br />

SHOULD NOT BE ERECTED UNTIL AFTER ALL THE ARTISTE’S EQUIPMENT IS IN<br />

PLACE (NORMALLY LATE AFTERNOON), AND IN ANY CASE NOT UNTIL THE<br />

ARTISTE’S TOUR MANAGER/STAGE MANAGER HAS GIVEN HIS CONSENT.<br />

THIS IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE MANAGEMENT.<br />

PERCENTAGE FEE<br />

18. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES THAT IN THE EVENT OF THE ARTISTES FEE BEING<br />

RELATED TO A PERCENTAGE OF THE RECEIPTS FROM TICKET SALES, AND THEN<br />

THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS SHALL APPLY:<br />

A) ON ALL TICKETS THERE SHALL BE PRINTED THE NAME OF THE ARTISTE, DATE<br />

AND TIME OF THE ENGAGEMENT, NAME OF THE VENUE, AND THE RESPECTIVE<br />

TICKET’S PRICE. ALL TICKETS MUST CLEARLY DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE<br />

PRICE OF A TICKET SOLD IN ADVANCE AND ONE SOLD ON THE NIGHT.<br />

B) ANY PERCENTAGE PAYMENT DUE TO THE ARTISTE SHALL BE CALCULATED ON<br />

THE NUMBER OF PERSONS ADMITTED NOT INCLUDING STAFF, A MANAGEMENT<br />

GUEST LIST OF NOT MORE THAN TWENTY (20) PERSONS AND GUESTS OF THE<br />

ARTISTE, WHICH WILL NOT EXCEED TWENTY (20) PERSONS UNLESS PREVIOUSLY<br />

AGREED IN WRITING BY THE MANAGEMENT.<br />

A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ARTISTE SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE PRESENT IN<br />

THE BOX OFFICE AT ANY TIME BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE PERFORMANCE ON<br />

THE DAY OF THE ENGAGEMENT.<br />

IF THE ARTISTE’S FEE IS IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE MANAGEMENT’S<br />

PRODUCTION COSTS THEN THE MANAGEMENT SHALL FURNISH THE ARTISTE WITH A<br />

DETAILED LIST OF PRODUCTION COSTS (CERTIFIED BY RECEIPTS) AT THE TIME OF<br />

THE ARTISTE’S FEE BEING PAID.<br />

THE MANAGEMENT SHALL KEEP ALL EXPENDITURE TO A MINIMUM AND SHALL BE<br />

LIABLE FOR ALL PAYMENTS WHETHER OR NOT MENTIONED HEREIN. IF A PAYEE’S<br />

RECEIPT IS NOT PRODUCED THEN THE MANAGEMENT SHALL BE DEEMED NOT TO<br />

HAVE PAID THE EXPENSE CONCERNED. SHOULD THE MANAGEMENT FAIL TO MAKE<br />

PAYMENTS TO THE ARTISTE PROMPTLY HEREUNDER THIS SHALL CONSTITUTE A<br />

MATERIAL BREACH ENTITLING THE ARTISTE IN ADDITION TO ALL ITS OTHER<br />

RIGHTS AND REMEDIES TO CANCEL ALL OR ANY CONCERTS HEREUNDER AT ITS<br />

SOLE DISCRETION WITHOUT LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUCH<br />

CANCELLATION TO THE MANAGEMENT.<br />

E) ALL TICKET STUBS AND UNSOLD TICKETS WILL BE RETAINED BY THE<br />

MANAGEMENT FOR A PERIOD OF NOT LESS THAN SIXTY (60) DAYS AFTER THE<br />

ENGAGEMENT, DURING WHICH TIME THE ARTISTE SHALL BE ENTITLED ACCESS TO<br />

SUCH STUBS AND TICKETS FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXAMINATION ARID COUNTING,<br />

UPON REASONABLE NOTICE BEING GIVEN BY THE ARTISTE.<br />

PERCENTAGE PAYMENTS PROVIDED HEREUNDER, SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A<br />

WRITTEN STATEMENT FROM THE MANAGEMENT, WHICH SHALL BE FORWARDED<br />

TO THE AGENCY GROUP LTD WITHIN THREE DAYS OF THE PERFORMANCE<br />

TOGETHER WITH DETAILED ACCOUNTS SETTING OUT ALL GROSS RECEIPTS AND<br />

INCOME FROM AN EXPENDITURE INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE ABOVE<br />

CONCERT TOUR AND SHALL MAKE AVAILABLE TO THE ARTISTE ALL DOCUMENTS,<br />

PAPERS, VOUCHERS, RECEIPTS, TICKET BOOKS, AND ALL OTHER MATTER TO<br />

ENABLE THE ARTISTE TO VERIFY FIGURES SUPPLIED AND THE ARTISTE OR ITS<br />

ACCOUNTANTS OR LAWYERS SHALL BE ENTITLED AT ALL TIMES TO INSPECT THE<br />

BOOKS AND ACCOUNTING RECORDS OF THE MANAGEMENT INSOFAR AS THEY<br />

RELATE TO THE PRESENT TRANSACTION AND TO TAKE COPIES OR EXTRACTS<br />

FROM THEM.<br />

IF THE ABOVE PAYMENTS OR OTHER PAYMENTS OR MONIES WHATSOEVER IN ANY<br />

WAY REFERABLE TO THE ABOVE CONCERT TOUR ARE SUBJECT TO ANY<br />

GOVERNMENT, LOCAL OR OTHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT TAXES, LEVIES OR<br />

IMPOSITIONS WHATSOEVER (WHETHER OR NOT REFERABLE TO INCOME,<br />

WHETHER OR NOT VALUE ADDED AND SIMILAR TAXES) WHETHER AGAINST THE<br />

MANAGEMENT, THE ARTISTE AND/OR ANY MEMBERS OF THE ARTISTE, THE<br />

MANAGEMENT HEREBY AGREES TO BEAR THE FINAL BURDEN OF ALL SUCH<br />

TAXES, LEVIES AND IMPOSITIONS BY PAYING THE SAME PROMPTLY TO THE<br />

APPROPRIATE TAX AUTHORITIES AND HEREBY INDEMNIFIES THE ARTISTE AND/OR<br />

ANY MEMBER(S) OF<br />

THE ARTISTE AGAINST ALL LIABILITY AND ALL COSTS, EXPENSES AND PAYMENTS<br />

WHATSOEVER IN CONNECTION WITH ANY CLAIMS OR PROCEEDINGS IN RESPECT<br />

THEREOF.<br />

ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD TICKETS BE SOLD TO THE SIDES OF THE STAGE OR THE<br />

REAR.<br />

MERCHANDISING<br />

19. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES THAT THE ARTISTE WILL HAVE THE EXCLUSIVE<br />

RIGHT TO ARRANGE FOR THE SALE OF MERCHANDISE CONNECTED WITH THE<br />

ARTISTE DURING THE PERIOD OF THE ENGAGEMENT. THIS WILL BE AT NO COST<br />

TO THE ARTIST.<br />

(A) MANAGEMENT AGREES THAT HE WILL NOT SELL ANY PRODUCTS<br />

IDENTIFIED WITH THE ARTISTE AT THE PLACE OF PERFORMANCE OR ANY<br />

ADJACENT PLACE UNDER HIS CONTROL, NOR WILL HE LICENSE THIRD<br />

PARTIES TO DO SO OR PERMIT SUCH SALE BY ANY THIRD PARTIES<br />

WITHOUT THE EXPRESS AGREEMENT OF THE ARTISTE.<br />

(B) THE ARTISTE SHALL APPOINT HIS REPRESENTATIVE TO MARKET<br />

EXCLUSIVE MERCHANDISING PROVIDED BY THE ARTISTE. (THIS SHALL<br />

INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE SALE OF T-SHIRTS, BADGES, BELT<br />

BUCKLES, POSTERS AND JACKETS). FOR THIS PURPOSE THE ARTISTE’S<br />

MERCHANDISER WILL REQUIRE THE MANAGEMENT TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE<br />

DISPLAY AREAS AND SALES TABLES IN THE FOYER OR ENTRANCE LOBBY<br />

OF THE VENUE.<br />

THE ARTISTE WILL PROVIDE MERCHANDISING SALES STAFF.<br />

RECEIPTS FROM THE SALE OF THE ABOVE ITEMS AND PHONOGRAPHIC<br />

RECORDS OF THE ARTISTE SHALL BELONG EXCLUSIVELY TO THE ARTISTE.<br />

ARTISTS MERCHANDISE. THIS WILL CONSIST OF A COVERED TENT AREA<br />

WITH POWER AND A ROOF.<br />

(g) SECURITY WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED.<br />

IN THE EVENT OF TRANSPORTATION BEING SUPPLIED BY THE<br />

A LUXURY EXECUTIVE TYPE COACH MUST BE PROVIDED AT ALL TIMES FOR<br />

LOCAL TRANSPORT OF BOTH THE BAND AND CREW THE PARTIES.<br />

THE COACH SHOULD HAVE TOILET FACILITIES, AIR<br />

CONDITIONING,TELEVISION, VIDEO, HI FI STEREO AND SEATING AREAS<br />

WITH TABLES ENOUGH FOR 12 PEOPLE AS OPPOSED TO BEING A<br />

STANDARD 56 SEATER WHICH IS UNCOMFORTABLE, PARTICULARLY ON<br />

LONGER JOURNEYS. ANY SUCH COACH MUST BE ABLE TO TAKE A LARGE<br />

AMOUNT OF LUGGAGE IN UNDER THE BAYS ANDA PLENTIFUL SUPPLY OF<br />

WATER (EVIAN ) NO GAS, COKE, DIET COKE (COKE LIGHT), & BEER TO BE<br />

SUPPLIED.<br />

ALSO TO CARRY OUT ALL INTERNAL GROUND TRANSPORTATION OF THE<br />

ARTIST’S EQUIPMENT FROM AIRPORT TO VENUE, VENUE TO AIRPORT OR<br />

VENUE TO VENUE, REGARDLESS OF POINT OF ENTRY. EVEN IF THE POINT<br />

OF ENTRY IS IN ANOTHER COUNTRY.<br />

THIS WILL BE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE MANAGEMENT.<br />

MISCELLANEOUS<br />

20. THE MANAGEMENT AGREES THAT HE WILL NOT COMMIT THE ARTISTE TO ANY<br />

PERSONAL APPEARANCE, INTERVIEW OR ANY TYPE OF PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY<br />

PERFORMANCE, UNLESS SUCH PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE SPECIFICALLY APPROVED BY<br />

22. THE ARTISTE SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO APPROVE THE MANAGEMENT’S<br />

CHOICE OF ANY OTHER ARTISTE TO APPEAR ON THE SAME BILL AS URIAH HEEP,<br />

TOGETHER WITH SUCH ARTISTE’S BILLING AND PERFORMANCE TIME.<br />

23. IF THERE ARE ANY QUERIES WHATSOEVER IN RESPECT OF THE CONTRACT,<br />

ADDITIONAL CLAUSES OR THIS RIDER, THEN THE MANAGEMENT SHOULD<br />

CONTACT THE AGENCY GROUP OF COMPANIES IMMEDIATELY.<br />

OVERVIEW<br />

Supplied below are different lighting specifications for different sized venues. Please note that these are<br />

guidelines and the minimum acceptable systems for AVERAGE sized venues in each group, the local<br />

lighting company have more knowledge of local venues, and should be consulted as to the amount of<br />

equipment required to produce the desired effect.<br />

There are some requirements which are constant throughout, these are as follows:<br />

(a) Wherever possible, a minimum of two followspots should be supplied with COMPETANT<br />

ENGLISH SPEAKING OPERATORS, the followspots should be situated at the rear of the venue,<br />

a minimum of 3m above stage level, ideally house left and right, and be in constant communication<br />

with the lighting operator via a WIRED comms system – NOT Walkie Talkies.<br />

(b) The preferred console manufacturer is AVOLITE (Tiger, Pearl, Sapphire or Diamond). Other<br />

consoles are acceptable providing they are supplied with an English speaking technician with a<br />

FULL WORKING KNOWLEDGE of the equipment supplied. ***NO WHOLE HOGS UNDER<br />
