Two Grammar School students will visit the Schwartzman NY Public Library Children’s Center
at 42nd Street with GS Librarians, Amanda Troha and Joanna Sondheim, where they will read
stories, become a member, and check out books. The collection offers a wealth of books for
children of all ages. Storytelling will continue over lunch. For a mutually agreeable date and time.

606 Cooking For Kids
Young chefs can hone their skills at a kid-friendly private cooking class. Four students, ages
8 and up, will join CGPS teachers Stephanie Avena and Peggy Albright (GS Science) for a
weekend cooking class. The class, taught by a professional, can take place in the student’s
home or at Vero, a restaurant on the Upper East Side. Menu choices include lemon ricotta
waffles, chocolate crepes, pizza, and herbed gnocchi. Local, organic produce is used when
available. Times and dates are flexible. Bon appetit!

607 Talk To The Animals
Four Grammar School students are off to the Central Park Zoo with CGPS teachers Melissa
Karter (Reading) and Kathy Eddy (GS Music) where they’ll visit Gus the polar bear, the penguin
colony, snow leopards Chocolate and Zoe, and more. The visit wouldn’t be complete without
ice cream at the Dancing Crane café. For a mutually agreeable date and time.

Three lanes, three students, three times the fun! Three fortunate CGPS students will enjoy
an afternoon of bowling and treats at Lucky Strike with Jackie Mangual (GS Receptionist),
Geoffrey Hinds (GS Transportation), and Abby Polanco (Nurse’s Office). For a mutually agreeable
