601 Take The Plunge Pool Party<br />

TEACHERS’ PETS<br />

Your kids thought Polar Bear night was a blast? Wait ‘til they dive into a swimming pool party<br />

for their 24 best friends. There will be one hour of free swim <strong>and</strong> games led by Jeanne Levin<br />

<strong>and</strong> Teresa Scheve, CGPS PE/Swim teachers, at CGPS’s own swimming hole. They will also<br />

help you supervise for one hour in the <strong>Grammar</strong> <strong>School</strong> cafeteria. You supply food <strong>and</strong> drinks.<br />

For children Pre-K through 6th. Up to five children can be non-CGPS students. For a mutually<br />

agreeable date <strong>and</strong> time, including weekends.<br />

602 Minecraft Computer Party<br />

Your child <strong>and</strong> his/her classmates will be thrilled with a Minecraft Computer Party led by<br />

CGPS’s own master Minecrafters, Joel Levin (GS Computer) <strong>and</strong> Pat Hough (GS Technology<br />

Coordinator). Minecraft presents a Lego-style world where children can build anything they<br />

can imagine. Kids engage in collaborative or competitive activities but the goal is having<br />

fun with their friends. The two-hour party will take place at school on a mutually agreeable<br />

weekday, after school. Pizza <strong>and</strong> beverages are included. For CGPS students in Grade 2 <strong>and</strong><br />

up. (Space is limited <strong>and</strong> will accommodate your child’s classroom/homeroom only.)<br />

603 Dog Gone It<br />

One lucky student will walk CGPS’s adorable Havanese mascot, Krypto, for a week at recess<br />

with Lower <strong>School</strong> Director, Simone Hristidis. Krypto, accompanied by Simone, will also delight<br />

the child’s class with a visit for story time <strong>and</strong> a treat. It will be a special week for both Krypto<br />

<strong>and</strong> your child that is certain to create happy memories!<br />

604 Live & Learn<br />

Jacqueline Wertzer, <strong>Grammar</strong> <strong>School</strong> Curriculum Coordinator, will provide a student in<br />

grades PK to 6, five hours of academic support or enrichment. Your child will benefit from<br />

a one-hour after school session, once a week, covering a pre-determined program of study<br />

such as reading comprehension or math strategies. Mrs. Wertzer is well-versed in <strong>Columbia</strong><br />

<strong>Grammar</strong>’s curriculum as well as being a reading specialist. Juice <strong>and</strong> cookies included!<br />
