Dear Friends:<br />
It is with great pleasure that Dawn and I welcome you to the <strong>27th</strong><br />
<strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Governor's</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> <strong>Award</strong>s. It is a noteworthy day for the arts in<br />
<strong>Nevada</strong> as we honor this year's recipients and celebrate the 40th<br />
Anniversary of the <strong>Nevada</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> <strong>Council</strong>.<br />
All those receiving awards tonight represent the best of what <strong>Nevada</strong><br />
has to offer - outstanding artists and arts organizations, passionate<br />
administrators and dedicated patrons. Individually and collectively,<br />
their service to <strong>Nevada</strong> commands public recognition.They also set a<br />
standard for all of us, individually and collectively, to actively ensure<br />
that all <strong>Nevada</strong>ns are provided ongoing access to the arts.<br />
