I am lucky enough to
do the things that I
really enjoy but it has
taken a lot of hard
work to get there! I
am involved with a
number of projects; I
have recently started
to run classes for
children to improve self esteem giving
them some much needed self
awareness around emotional literacy
to manage feelings. This is what I
am passionate about! I also offer
psychotherapy and counselling in
private practice and co run a business
called Creating Change with
a wonderful business
partner, mum of three who
also fosters, her name is
Jacci Jones; (she has a very
supportive husband!) we
have a number of different
training courses covering;
dealing with challenging
behaviour in children and
adolescents, to personal
awareness for mums and
dads too.
I never hide how my
journey into working
therapeutically with adults
and children came about,
Creating Change
as I am proud of the
difficulties I faced and
where I have now got to!
At the age of 25 years,
after working in a
number of very
competitive sales jobs, I
ended up having a
breakdown and spent a
month in the priory hospital (very
posh I know but in reality not great!)
Without going into all the detail as to
what got me there. (As we would be
here all day) With the support of my
husband and family I made some
huge life changes and subsequently
