The Lakers have played at Lubbers Stadium since 1972 and have amassed a .802 winning percentage in those 36 seasons. Home of Champions GVSU boasts some of the best facilities in Division II football. The football center is a part of Lubbers Stadium and has a state-of-the-art locker room, training room, player meeting rooms, tradition room, equipment room, and the Rob Odejewski weight room which was added just before the 2002 season. The Lakers also practice on two full-size natural grass football fields located near Lubbers Stadium. Grand Valley State began construction in the spring to move the softball field and make room for a new multi-purpose indoor facility.
