Tutorial 4: Polling JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Real-time event from JD Edwards transaction server (inbound processing) Scenario This tutorial demonstrates how WebSphere Adapter for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 7.0 gets real-time event from JD Edwards EnterpriseOne transaction server. In this scenario, the information of a company is changed in JDE server. The JDE server will generate the corresponding JDE real-time event. This event is then polled by JDE adapter and transferred to one SCA component. The following realtime event will be generated and transferred to SCA component: RTCOOUT This case only has three steps: October 14, 2008 - - 86 - -
1> Customer changes the information of one company in JDE server. Then, JDE server will generate the corresponding real-time event. 2> JDE adapter will poll the event from JDE server in period. Then, it will find the real-time event and fetch the event from JDE server. 3> At last, JDE adapter will convert the real-time event to a SDO and send it to the destination SCA component. This scenario illustrates the ability of WebSphere JDE adapter to interact with JDE server by polling real-time event from JDE server. Configuring the adapter for inbound processing Run the external service wizard to specify business objects, services, and configuration to be used in this tutorial. Creating the project 1. Switch to the Business Integration Perspective in WebSphere Integration Developer by choosing from the menu: Window -> Open Perspective - > Business Integration. 2.
