Tutorial 2: Retrieving data from JD Edwards EnterpriseOne table using XML List query (outbound processing) Scenario This tutorial demonstrates how WebSphere Adapter for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 7.0 uses an XML List query to retrieve a record from the AddressBook database. In this scenario, an SCA calling is used to retrieve the specific business address. The business addresses generally are stored in the table F0116 of the database of JDE server. JDE adapter can directly fetch data from JDE table by using XMLList function. 1> Send the request to JDE server for fetching the specific business address. In this case, we will fetch the business address whose ID is 33937. 2> After getting the response from JDE server, JDE adapter will convert the response to a SDO which can be understood easily by the SCA component. In the SCA component, customer can take use of the address. This scenario illustrates the ability of WebSphere JDE adapter to interact with JDE server by invoking the JDE XMLList. Configuring the adapter for outbound processing Run the external service wizard to specify business objects, services, and configuration to be used in this tutorial. Creating the project 1.
