Chapter 7. Troubleshooting
1. Symptom: A SpecFailureException exception is thrown from EMD or at runtime:

Cause: This is usually caused by configuration issues
Resolution:
1. Verify that the appropriate JDBC driver is in the class path
2. Verify the JDE configuration files (jdbj.ini, jdeinterop.ini,
jdeLog.properties, tnsnames.ora) are configured correctly for the JDE
server being used and that they are in the class path.
3. Verify that the JDE server to which you are trying to connect and all
services are started correctly.
4. Verify that the required JDE files have been imported and added to the
class path.
2. Symptom: A ServerFailureException exception is thrown from EMD or at
runtime:
Caused by: com.jdedwards.system.connector.dynamic.ServerFailureException: Cannot connect to
