14 The Hanoverian 08|2012 Sport St. Pr. mare Sylvia H by Silvio/Stakkato (breeder: Gerhard Hagemann, Parsau). Temple Road Ukraine won the Nation Prize of Drammen. Its quartet was able to count on team member Temple Road by Antaeus/Graf Dagobert (breeder: Karl Rabeler, Egestorf) and rider Cassio Rivetti. The pair was faultless in both rounds. Tonka (VA) Astrid Wulschner rode Tonka by Tinka’s Boy/ Landor S (breeder: Ulrike Heuke-Kucharzek, Minden) in the Youngster Cup on the first weekend in Gera and placed fifth in an introductory class. Wyona Sun Francisco Caba from Spain rode Wyona Sun by Wolkenstein II/Servus (breeder: Andrea Homburg, Gnarrenburg) into forth place in a two-phase jumper class for juniors in Hagen. Eventing FRH Butts Abraxxas FRH Butts Abraxxas by Haraldik xx/Kronenkranich xx (breeder: Friedrich Butt, Buelkau) and rider Ingrid Klimke were members of the victorious German Nation Prize-team in Aachen. Clever & Smart We witnessed top competition at the CIC** in Holzerode. Clever & Smart by Colway Bold xx/Donnerhall (breeder: Robert Böttcher, Jesteburg) and rider Andreas Brandt won this competition with an advantage of five points. Entebbe de Hus (VA) Entebbe de Hus by Embassy/Carbid (breeder: Horst and Jeannine Petersen, Salzhausen) left the stallion market as an approved sir and went to France. The seven-year old won his first 2*-competition with rider Karim Florent Laghouag in Arville/France. Eskadia Eskadia by Escudo/Groom Dancer xx (breeder: Ulrike Sybrecht, Isernhagen) participated in her first 2*-competition in Holzerode. Andreas Dibowski rode the seven-year old into forth place. Underdiscussion Others stood in the limelight at the CHIO in Aachen. Underdiscussion by Lanthan/Mighty Kingdom xx (breeder: Cheryl O’Brien, Australia) and rider Christopher Burton were the winners of the CIC***after dressage, jumping and cross-country. Light my fire (VA) Judith Sommer rode Light my fire by Likoto xx/Weltmeyer (breeder: Kathrin Wassmann, Badbergen) into forth position at the CCI* in Holzerode.n Eventing Hanoverians in Luhmühlen World and European champion Michael Jung was victorious in Luhmühlen. He won the CCI**** with Leopin FST. FRH Butts Avedon by Heraldik xx/Kronenkranich (breeder: Fritz Butt, Bülkau) had his debut at a 4 star-competition. “It was a great experience with a phenomenal horse,” Andreas Dibowski said overjoyed. Andrew Hoy was in second place after a good dressage test and a flawless cross-country ride and before stadium with Rutherglen by Ramires/Roncalli xx (breeder: Gerhard Oestermann, Lübbecke). The pair finished the event in sixth place after three rails and time faults on the stadium course. The Hessian horse St. Daniel by Star Regent xx/Der Clou (breeder: Gita Zühlsdorf, Mühlheim) finished in 15th position with rider Megan Heath from New Zealand. Strong base in older classes The Association of the District Lüneburg organized the bi-annual Friedrich Jahncke-Show where regional associations present their best mares. By Dr. Werner Schade The Association of the District of Lüneburg celebrated its 90th anniversary. It was therefore very appropriate to be the host for the bi-annual Friedrich Jahncke-Show. The show grounds in Luhmühlen were selected as site and offered excellent conditions even when inclement weather set in. The organization team was highly motivated and guaranteed for a smooth-running event. The show started with three-year old jumper mares that were presented in the free-jumping chute - analogous to the Herwart von der Decken-Show - in the open air. This class consisted of 12 exceptional mares. St. Pr. aspirant Cleopatra RA by Clinton/Contender (breeder/ owner: Peter-Hermann Rabeler, Winsen/Luhe) took the lead with her phenomenal style. She showed far-sightedness and beautifully displayed her ability throughout her performance. She confirmed this outstanding impression on the triangle where exterior and movement are evaluated. St. Pr. aspirant Charita by Carlucci/Werther (breeder/owner: Richard Blanke, Wunstorf) followed in second place. This filly impressed with the caution she exhibited at each fence. One group consisted of only jumper mares in the division for four- to six-year olds. There were six in total. The free-jumping was eliminated for the four-year olds. St. Pr. aspirant Calinka by Count Grannus/Glorieux (breeder/ owner: Ute Meyer, Gorleben) was victorious in this division. This elegant and light-footed mare appeared very athletic with her well defined and striking body parts and her energetic movement. A Quality/Argentan daughter (breeder: Klaus Niemann, Petershagen; exhibitor: ZG Spurgat & Flechtner, Salzwedel) followed next. She also impressed with her good lines, her type and her powerful movement Just like the other top jumper mares. The champion mares, the reserve champions and a few other mares carried the Holstein C-blood combined with proven Hanoverian performance lines. The accumulation of Calypso II who appeared in many pedigrees on the sire but also on the dam side was remarkable. Holstein blood met with Hanoverian G-blood in both champion mares as well as in the reserve champion mare in the threeyear old division. This show once again confirmed that the formula C x G fits well. Because of the G-blood initiative the mare base with G-blood will expand in the future and the perspective of a combination with the younger Holstein C-sire generation will thrive. The dressage and jumper mares were combined in the division for three-year olds. A Sport Benetton Dream/Stedinger daughter (breeder/owner: ZG Sahlmann and Schmitz, Rosenthal) was the absolutely excelling champion. Paramount in her radiance with a very harmonious profile this filly always moved in rhythm and balance and with supple and uphill movement. A Floriscount/Wild Dance daughter (breeder: Angela Fitschen, Scheessel; exhibitor: Annelie Brunckhorst, Hollenstedt) was the reserve champion. This expressive mare disposed of stability in her construction. Her above average good walk was a highlight on the ring. St. Pr. aspirant Fräulein Fidertanz by Fidertanz/Don Cavallo (breeder/owner: Hermann Klindworth, Niendorf) won in the class for performance-tested mares. This well muscled and important mare had powerful and productive trot movement and an energetic walk. St. Pr. aspirant Dance for you by Depardieu/Friendship (breeder/exhibitor: Zuchtstaette Michael Schenk, Niendorf) earned the 1b-prize. This striking black filly was able to really develop impulsion. The three-year old dressage fillies without performance test results were divided into two groups. St. Pr. aspirant Sissy N.B. by Soliman de Hus/Weltmeyer (breeder/owner: Nicole Bässmann, Meitze) became the winner of the first group. This incredibly typy mare appeared overall to be strongly influenced by Thoroughbred blood. Her moving mechanics reflected great smoothness and elasticity.
