SOCIAL<br />

S.P.U.C.: The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children ask you to sign a Petition to protect Primary<br />

School Children from being exposed to indecent, sexually explicit DVDs in the classroom. Some MPs want<br />

to force all schools to teach sex education and to stop parents having any say over whether their children are<br />

given sex lessons. Please help resist these changes and give young children their childhood back. The<br />

Petition is at the back of church. Please sign today. Many thanks.<br />

GROWING IN FAITH<br />

NOVEMBER IS THE MONTH OF THE <strong>HOLY</strong> SOULS when we remember in a special way all our<br />

deceased relatives and friends and all the dead. You can place the names of your loved ones in the basket at<br />

the back of church. They will be taken up to the altar with the Offertory Procession at Sunday Mass. (no<br />

donations in the basket please). If you would like Mass offered for your dead, during this month please give<br />

your Mass Intentions to Father as soon as possible. Thank you.<br />

ALL SAINTS: Tuesday is the Feast of All Saints and is a <strong>Holy</strong> Day of Obligation. Masses are at 10am<br />

and 7.30pm.<br />

CHOIR/MUSIC GROUP: Thanks to the New Translation of the Mass we have some beautiful new music<br />

to learn! New members are urgently needed and will be warmly welcomed. Come and see! Practices on<br />

Thursdays 3 rd , 10 th and 17 th November, starting at 7.30pm. and lasting for one hour.<br />

MINISTERS OF THE WORD: Please pick up your new Rotas from the tray at the back of <strong>Church</strong>.<br />

We need more people for the 9am Mass. If you would like to serve the parish in this way, please see Father<br />

or Mary Abbott.<br />

FUNDRAISING<br />

A.P.F. BOXES: Would promoters please collect monies and hand into Michael Walton before the 20 th<br />

November. Box holders may bring boxes to church and hand to an apparitor. Please notify your promoter if you<br />

do this. Thank you for your co-operation.<br />
