Hebraica emphasizes the importance of promoting Jewish identity, Jewish values, a love of Israel, and the importance of family
and community. Hebraica reaches out to all segments of our diverse Jewish community through ongoing programs for children,
teens, and college-age young adults, holiday celebrations, family activities, and community events.
maccabi tzair, miami grades K-10

Maccabi Tzair Miami, a branch of Maccabi World Union, is a youth movement that engages Jewish youth in activities
promoting Jewish identity, our connection to the People and Land of Israel, and Jewish socialization. Madrichim
(Leaders) in our Youth Program are graduates of our School of Madrichim, who have been trained to conduct social,
cultural, educational, and recreational activities with their Chanichim (group members) through varied peulot
(activities). See meeting times below.
•youth program (grades K-6) • Saturdays, 3-6pm
Chanichim meet on a weekly basis with their peers and Madrichim, engaging in activities revolving around Jewish
identity, the People and Land of Israel, Jewish socialization, global awareness, mitzvah projects, field trips, a
sleepover, and machanot.
•teen club (grades 7 & 8) • Saturdays, 3-6pm
Enjoy activities that promote Jewish life and tradition with the objective to build a circle of friends who care for their
community. Includes educational field trips, mitzvah projects (community service letters), an overnight, and
machanot.
•pre-school of madrichim (grade 9)• Mondays, 6:30-8pm and Weekend Social Events
Registration closed for current program year. One-year leadership program concentrating on social interaction
and group development to lay a foundation for enrollment in next year’s School of Madrichim. Includes mitzvah
projects (community service letter), field trips, machanot, Jewish identity, and survival instruction.
•school of madrichim (grade 10) • Wednesdays, 6-8pm & Saturdays, 3-6pm

A year-long leadership training program for high school sophomores that promotes Jewish identity and develops
young Jewish leaders to work with Jewish children and teens in our community. The SOM culminates with a 4-week
summer program in Israel for those who successfully fulfill the program’s requirements.
