3. Although this hope is often referred to as '<strong>the</strong> messianic age', 62 <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong><strong>vol</strong>vement<br />

of a particular (messianic) figure or div<strong>in</strong>e agent seems to be<br />

more like ano<strong>the</strong>r variation. 63 The imagery of a great feast is <strong>in</strong>dependent,<br />

though sometimes l<strong>in</strong>ked — hence (mislead<strong>in</strong>gly) <strong>the</strong> description 'messianic<br />

banquet' , 64<br />
