The V-Jet® Coating System is an application
process for applying a patented binary chemical formulation (IS-2500)
using the TDW V-Jet Pig to assure the line is coated top and bottom,
beginning to end. The coating system may be applied to new lines
following construction or on-stream lines flowing natural gas, crude oil
or products.

V-Jet® Coating System
Unlike conventional corrosion inhibitors, IS-2500 compound preferentially adheres to
the pipe surface and will subsequently and spontaneously cure to a tough, adherent,
very thin, corrosion-resistant coating, acting as a temporary barrier that does not
allow corrosive materials to come in contact with the pipe.

IS-2500 lasts 5-6 times longer than batch inhibitor treatments or in excess of 12
months, depending on line conditions. Additional benefits include increased flow due
to smoothing of the pipe wall and less pigging frequency due to debris not adhering
to pipe wall.

V-Jet® Corrosion Inhibitor Pig
The V-Jet® pig:
• Uses a unique venture siphoning
arrangement that when combined with
differential pressure by-pass, actually
sprays and applies IS-2500 to the top of
the pipe.
• Emphasizes safe and easy-to-use
launching and receiving techniques.
• Eliminates the need for frequent
inhibitor batching.
• Sturdy and reliable construction, is
designed to withstand tough use.
• Spray head applies corrosion
inhibitor fluid to the top quadrant
of the pipeline.
• Designed to act as its own reservoir
in the event that it should pass a
section of pipe that would be void
of the corrosion inhibitor fluid, such
as an incline or decline in elevation.
• Can be used as the front and/or
rear pig in a batching process for
a complete 360 degree inhibitor
fluid saturation.
