Introduction<br />
Welcome to the summer <strong>sports</strong> <strong>programme</strong> for South Oxfordshire <strong>and</strong> the <strong>Vale</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>White</strong> <strong>Horse</strong>.<br />
This year to celebrate the Olympics we have included additional information about<br />
local leisure providers <strong>and</strong> <strong>sports</strong> <strong>club</strong>s to ensure that whatever activity you want to<br />
take up you will know where to go to find out more information.<br />
What you need to know<br />
• all our summer holiday courses are coached by qualified National Governing<br />
Body coaches, who are first aid trained <strong>and</strong> have CRB clearance<br />
• for full day courses please bring a packed lunch<br />
• all children should bring plenty to drink, but not fizzy drinks please<br />
• please ensure that your child is suitably dressed for the sport or activity they<br />
are taking part in <strong>and</strong> please take into consideration the weather conditions<br />
<strong>and</strong> whether the event is indoors or outdoors<br />
• all equipment is provided<br />
• any additional information will appear next to the individual course details<br />
• some <strong>club</strong>s require a parental consent form to be taken to the activity<br />
These will be sent to you prior to the event<br />
• where courses cover a wide age range please be aware that the children will<br />
be split into groups with others <strong>of</strong> their own age<br />
• if your child has any special needs or you have any concerns about the<br />
suitability <strong>of</strong> a course please contact us to discuss this<br />
• some <strong>of</strong> our courses have adult sessions available so that parents have the<br />
opportunity to get active this summer too<br />

<strong>Summer</strong> Holiday Fun<br />
at Cornerstone<br />
Cornerstone in Didcot opened in September 2008. As a modern arts centre, it<br />
st<strong>and</strong>s out as the visual centre piece <strong>of</strong> the new Town Square <strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers a wide<br />
range <strong>of</strong> exciting live performances, free exhibitions in the art gallery, plus a full<br />
<strong>programme</strong> <strong>of</strong> classes <strong>and</strong> workshops <strong>and</strong> <strong>Summer</strong> Holiday activities which attract<br />

Sport Makers<br />
Sport Makers is a national <strong>programme</strong> lead in<br />
Oxfordshire by Oxfordshire Sports Partnership <strong>and</strong><br />
backed by Sport Engl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> the British Olympic<br />
Association. It is about supporting ordinary people over<br />
the age <strong>of</strong> 16, to make a difference <strong>and</strong> help get others more active <strong>and</strong> enjoying<br />
sport whether helping at an event, in a <strong>club</strong> or though informal sport with friends or<br />
colleagues. Sport Makers workshops are being put on throughout 2012 opening<br />
the doors to opportunities <strong>and</strong> support to make a difference. Everyone that comes<br />
to a workshop <strong>and</strong> pledges to make sport happen for others also receive an Adidas<br />
polo-shirt <strong>and</strong> bag.<br />

Would you like to get active, feel good, have fun <strong>and</strong> make friends?<br />
GO Active (Get Oxfordshire Active) is a project to encourage adults<br />
