Scope of Work
Subsea 7 has an extensive track record in the provision of
inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services. The IRM
of subsea infrastructure such as structures, pipelines, risers,
flowlines and associated cabling throughout the life of the
oil and gas field is critical to the successful optimisation of
an asset's value.
Subsea 7 provides Total with dive support services,
ROV, IRM and light construction services - supporting its
operations at Alwyn, Dunbar, Otter, Forvie, Nuggets, Frigg,
Ellon, Grant and Elgin/Franklin. Subsea 7 also provides
asset integrity and production continuity services on the
Subsea 7 bundle development at Jura.
Some examples of work include:
Platform caisson removal at Alwyn - This involved the coordination
of air, shallow and deep saturation diving to cut
and remove the redundant Alwyn caisson into sections;
followed by the removal of structural guides and clamps
from the platform jacket.
Recovery and re-installation of the Total Jura Towhead
Module 2 - This involved recovering the 80 tonne module
from the Jura Towhead using the Toisa Polaris dive support
vessel, before transporting it to shore for repair works. The
Toisa Polaris was also used for the re-installation.
Inspection workscopes include vessel based structures
and pipelines and the bi-annual platform based inspection
works from the North Alwyn Alpha, Bravo and Dunbar
installations.
All works are supported by a dedicated project
management and engineering team based in Subsea 7's
office in Westhill, Aberdeen.
