KEYMILE at the C5 World Forum 2007, Stand 3015
KEYMILE shows live the application of MileGate in FTTx
Hannover, February, 27 th 2007 – At the C5 World Forum 2007 from March 26-29 in Milan, Italy,
KEYMILE will be showing the convergence of traditional telephony and broadband services
for various fields of application in the access network.
KEYMILE, a leading manufacturer and supplier for Next-Generation Access networks with
integrated network management, will be showing its complete Multi-Service IP DSLAM MileGate
family at the C5 World Forum in Milan. The compact NGN platform makes it possible for network
operators to implement, on the one hand combined voice, data and multimedia services (Triple
Play) for end customers and business customers in the access network, and on the other hand to
implement migration of traditional telephony to VoIP. With its integrated VoIP-Media-Gateway, the
traditional voice services POTS and ISDN can be migrated with the SIP and H.248 protocols. With
its compact design and scalable housing types, MileGate supports several network architectures.
These are installations in exchanges, FTTN (Fibre-to-the-Node), FTTB (Fibre-to-the-Building) and
FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) where it enables services at more than 100 Mbps. At the C5 World
Forum, MileGate will be presenting itself as complete Multi-Service IP DSLAM with additional
optical Fast Ethernet / Gigabit Ethernet customer interfaces.
The C5 World Forum will provide a platform for discussing strategic telecommunications issues. An
important topic will be the convergence of the communications networks and the role of access
technologies in designing personalised content matter and communications solutions for end
users.
On March 28, 2006 Jochen Krauss, Director of Product Management at KEYMILE will be
illustrating the potential of FTTx network architectures in a TecPreview.
On March 29, Bruno Ette, Chief Sales Officer at KEYMILE, will be chairing a discussion at the C5
World Forum on “Legacy and Future Proofing the Network”. In the discussion, the necessity of
migrating from traditional services to the Next-Generation Access network and its implementation
will be outlined.
