<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong><br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> is the FTTB<br />
VDSL2 NTU of the Next Generation<br />
Network platform <strong>MileGate</strong>.<br />
The <strong>Micro</strong>-<strong>DSLAM</strong> terminates<br />
the optical fi bre of the feeder<br />
network in the building. It<br />
provides 8 VDSL2 subscriber<br />
interfaces. Thisway high quality<br />
Triple Play services can be<br />
provided via the existing inhouse<br />
cabling.<br />
Optional legacy telephone<br />
connections or/and legacy cable<br />
TV can be provided in parallel.<br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong><br />
<strong>Micro</strong>-<strong>DSLAM</strong> for the provision of<br />
VDSL2 in Fibre-to-the-Building applications (FTTB)<br />
■ VDSL2 in <strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong><br />
Using VDSL2 transmission in<br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> modern services as<br />
VoIP, broadband Internet, Videoon-Demand<br />
and IPTV can be<br />
provided. The VDSL2 interfaces<br />
of <strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> support all<br />
important profi les and band<br />
plans – including the profi le 30a,<br />
which is designed for bit rates<br />
above 100 Mbps.<br />

<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> can optionally be<br />
equipped with a media converter.<br />

signal. This can be provided via<br />
the existing in-house coax<br />
cabling to all subscribers.<br />
■ Cascading and ring connection<br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> comes with two<br />
SFP-cages for GbE and two<br />
100/1000BaseT connectors.<br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> can cascade or<br />
connect to the backbone via<br />
these interfaces.<br />
In addition a ring structure can<br />
be realised to allows a maximum
failure protection in case of line<br />
interruption.<br />
■ Compact and safe<br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> is designed for<br />
in-house installations. It can be<br />
easily mounted at any indoor<br />
wall.<br />
In spite of the compact housing,<br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> does not need<br />
additional ventilation. With the<br />
integrated power supply unit the<br />
<strong>MileGate</strong> <strong>2011</strong> can be connected<br />
to the in-house power circuit.<br />
