Summer 2012 Mentored first year undergraduate student from Puerto Rico, Alejandra Torres.<br />
2011-2012 Mentored undergraduate student researcher Mackenzie Dome. She was mentored on<br />
molecular and genetic techniques, scientific method and transcriptional regulation<br />
and its evolution. The mentee was able to conduct independent experiments.<br />
2007-2009 Mentored undergraduate student researcher Xiaowei Heng. She was mentored on<br />
molecular and genetic techniques as well as scientific method. The mentee was able<br />
to work on an independent research project.<br />
