Kathie also shares her passion for the power of<br />

Optimal Health <strong>and</strong> Prevention Research<br />

Foundation in San Diego, California.<br />

Berkshires, where she served as Nutrition Director<br />

Medicine. She served as the inaugural Chair of<br />

Dietitians in Integrative <strong>and</strong> Functional Medicine<br />

(DIFM), a dietetic practice group of the Academy<br />

of Nutrition <strong>and</strong> Dietetics representing dietitians in<br />

holistic, complementary <strong>and</strong> alternative <strong>medicine</strong>.<br />

Kathie also served as a member of the St<strong>and</strong>ards<br />

of Practice/St<strong>and</strong>ards of Professional Performance<br />

(SOP/SOPP) for Integrative RDs. She has<br />

participated in Nutrition Roundtables at the Harvard<br />

School of Public Health <strong>and</strong> participated in medical<br />

school education programs at Georgetown<br />

University Medical School <strong>and</strong> Johns Hopkins<br />

University School of Medicine.<br />

Kathie serves on the editorial board for Integrative<br />

Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal <strong>and</strong> has been a<br />

scientific reviewer for Alternative Therapies in<br />

Health <strong>and</strong> Medicine. Her articles <strong>and</strong> interviews<br />

have been published in Nutrition in Clinical<br />

Practice, Experience Life, Yoga Journal , Healing<br />

Lifestyles <strong>and</strong> Spas, Body + Soul, Alternative<br />
