Upper - Intermediate - Cambridge First Certificate<br />
The First Certificate in English is an upper-intermediate level examination requiring knowledge<br />
of all the language skills and is widely recognised in commerce, industry and educational<br />
institutions as proof of language ability at the upper-intermediate level. The course is designed<br />
primarily for students preparing for the exam. Its objectives are to cover the different<br />
requirements of the five separate exam papers (Reading comprehension, Composition, Use of<br />
English, Listening comprehension and Interview) in a varied and interesting way and to develop<br />
specific exam techniques. The course is also relevant to participants who have no intention of<br />
taking the exam, but who wish to improve their general communicative competence.<br />
Die Teilnahme am Beratungs- und Einstufungstermin ist obligatorisch. Voraussetzung ist ein<br />
mit „gut“ bestandenes Zertifikat <strong>Englisch</strong> (ICC) oder vergleichbare Kenntnisse. Die Prüfung<br />
ist freiwillig. Sie findet weltweit zu den gleichen Bedingungen statt und wird von den<br />
Außenstellen der Universität Cambridge durchgeführt.<br />
