He ong>theong>n invited DPO/HK to brief Members on ong>theong> representations. 44. With ong>theong> aid ong>ofong> a Powerpoint presentation, Mr. Derek Cheung made ong>theong> following main points as detailed in ong>theong> Paper: (a) on 5.2.2010, ong>theong> draft Sai Ying Pun & Sheung Wan OZP No. S/H3/23 was exhibited for public inspection under section 5 ong>ofong> ong>theong> ong>Townong> ong>Planningong> Ordinance (ong>theong> Ordinance). During ong>theong> two-month exhibition period, a total ong>ofong> 114 representations were received. On 16.4.2010, ong>theong> representations were published for public comments. During ong>theong> three-week publication period, a total ong>ofong> 89 comments were received; (b) ong>theong> representations in Group 1 (R1 and R2) were against ong>theong> rezoning ong>ofong> ong>theong> former Police Married Quarters (PMQ) site at Hollywood Road from “Residential (Group A)” (“R(A)”) to “Oong>theong>r Specified Uses” (“OU”) annotated “Heritage Site for Creative Industries and Related Uses” under Amendment Items A1 and A2. C1 supported both R1 and R2, and C2 to C29 supported R1; (c) ong>theong> background ong>ofong> ong>theong> representation site as detailed in paragraph 3 ong>ofong> ong>theong> Paper. The former PMQ was one ong>ofong> ong>theong> eight projects under ong>theong> ‘Conserving Central’ initiative announced by ong>theong> Chief Executive in 2009-2010 Policy Address. On 19.3.2010, ong>theong> DEVB and ong>theong> Commerce and Economic Development Bureau jointly invited proposals from interested organisations and enterprises for turning ong>theong> PMQ into a creative industries landmark. Proposals were invited for ong>theong> management, operation and maintenance ong>ofong> ong>theong> revitalised site.
