5.1.1 Load PSA<br />

To load data into the <strong>SAP</strong> <strong>BI</strong> system, we have to define the source, which<br />

provides and extracts the needed data. This process includes the specification of<br />

the source system and the DataSource.<br />

Figure 5-2 shows a definition of the source system based on a logical <strong>SAP</strong><br />

system, which represents the client 900. After definition of the DataSource, data<br />

can be extracted from this source system. The data will be extracted based on<br />

the <strong>SAP</strong>-provided ALE communicating from the business client of the source<br />

system.<br />
