<strong>SAP</strong> application servers ran on AIX 5.3 partitions of an <strong>IBM</strong> pSystem 550.<br />

<strong>SAP</strong> database instances ran on <strong>IBM</strong> <strong>DB2</strong> 9 <strong>for</strong> z/<strong>OS</strong> and were installed on<br />

different LPARs of a z9 EC 2094-S18 <strong>IBM</strong> System z.<br />

sequence.<br />

activity to be per<strong>for</strong>med at z/<strong>OS</strong> level.<br />

The Database Administration Guide provides in<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>for</strong> planning, installing,<br />

monitoring, and tuning <strong>DB2</strong> <strong>for</strong> z/<strong>OS</strong>.<br />

The Security Guide is a reference material <strong>for</strong> security issues in an <strong>SAP</strong> on <strong>DB2</strong><br />

<strong>for</strong> z/<strong>OS</strong> environment.<br />

<strong>SAP</strong> notes are also important because the integrate and sometimes correct<br />

official <strong>SAP</strong> documentation. A list of notes related to installation and <strong>DB2</strong> and<br />

z/<strong>OS</strong> checks is provided in Appendix A, “Glossary <strong>for</strong> <strong>SAP</strong> <strong>BI</strong>” on page 281.<br />
