<strong>BI</strong> Metadata Repository Manager<br />

Tool in the Knowledge Management of <strong>SAP</strong> Enterprise Portal.<br />

The <strong>BI</strong> Metadata Repository Manager regulates read and write access to<br />

metadata (InfoCubes, queries, Web templates, workbooks etc.) and the<br />

documentation on this metadata in <strong>SAP</strong> Business In<strong>for</strong>mation Warehouse. The<br />

<strong>BI</strong> Metadata Repository Manager also allows access to online links generated<br />

<strong>using</strong> BEx In<strong>for</strong>mation Broadcasting.<br />

Characteristic<br />

A type of InfoObject in <strong>SAP</strong> <strong>BI</strong> systems that provides a classification such as<br />

company code, product, customer group, fiscal year, period, or region. Related<br />

to the OLAP-standard term dimension.<br />

chart<br />

Web item that retrieves data from a query view to create a diagram <strong>for</strong> a Web<br />

application. You can choose from a range of display options <strong>for</strong> the diagram. You<br />

can also navigate within interactive charts and analyze the displayed data.<br />

checkboxes<br />

Web item that puts characteristic values to be filtered into a group of<br />

checkboxes.<br />

collation process<br />

Allows you to gather together several chains into a single chain in process chain<br />

maintenance windows. This means that you no longer have to schedule<br />

application processes individually.<br />

The process chains maintenance windows contain the following collation<br />

processes:<br />

► AND-process (last): The application process starts when all the events <strong>for</strong> the<br />

preceding processes have been triggered successfully.<br />

► OR-process (each): The application process starts each time an event in a<br />

preceding process is triggered successfully.<br />

► EXOR-process (first): The application process starts when the first event in<br />

one of the preceding processes is triggered successfully.<br />

command processor<br />

Part of each of the <strong>BI</strong> Java SDK's query APIs, interfaces that make it easier to<br />

use the underlying query models by hiding the complexity of these models. With<br />

the command processors, you can create and manipulate complex queries with<br />

simple commands. You can think of the individual methods of the command<br />
