The communication between the <strong>SAP</strong> systems is based on standard TCP/IP.<br />

In addition, <strong>SAP</strong> provides Remote Function Call (RFC) and Application Link<br />

Enabling (ALE) protocols. Using the ALE distribution models, selected business<br />

objects can be synchronized in different <strong>SAP</strong> Systems. This synchronization of<br />

the business objects is per<strong>for</strong>med via the Business Application Programming<br />

Interface (BAPI). The business objects are transferred <strong>using</strong> the intermediate<br />

documents (Docs).<br />
