Figure 12-11 shows the steps that occur during activation of DSO data. In this
example we assume that document 123, with an amount of 100, is already
loaded into the activation table of the DSO object.

When data is activated in the DSO, the following steps occur:
1. The new/modified data is transferred into the activation queue. The
corresponding old record is deleted from the active table.
2. The old record of the active table is saved as a negative (-100) value in the
change log, and the new record is also stored in the change log (60).
3. The new/modified data is deleted from the active table.
If all the records are activated, you can propagate the changes from the change
log to the datasets of the related DSO Objects or InfoCubes, in a separate step.
The amount is therefore reduced by 40 in the related data targets in the example.
