Figure 12-11 shows the steps that occur during activation of DSO data. In this<br />

example we assume that document 123, with an amount of 100, is already<br />

loaded into the activation table of the DSO object.<br />

When data is activated in the DSO, the following steps occur:<br />

1. The new/modified data is transferred into the activation queue. The<br />

corresponding old record is deleted from the active table.<br />

2. The old record of the active table is saved as a negative (-100) value in the<br />

change log, and the new record is also stored in the change log (60).<br />

3. The new/modified data is deleted from the active table.<br />

If all the records are activated, you can propagate the changes from the change<br />

log to the datasets of the related DSO Objects or InfoCubes, in a separate step.<br />

The amount is there<strong>for</strong>e reduced by 40 in the related data targets in the example.<br />
