8.1 Troubleshooting general system per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />

In this section we provide a road map to take the reader through some general<br />

system-wide health checks. These ensure that there is no general problem that<br />

may compromise <strong>DB2</strong> per<strong>for</strong>mance within <strong>SAP</strong> <strong>BI</strong>. It is worth taking the time to<br />

per<strong>for</strong>m this task be<strong>for</strong>e doing more specific in-depth analysis.<br />

It is beyond the scope of this book to provide a comprehensive guide to<br />

troubleshooting general <strong>SAP</strong> and z/<strong>OS</strong> <strong>DB2</strong> system per<strong>for</strong>mance problems.<br />
