To use the LimitKey function, call transaction SE14 (ABAP DIctionary: Database<br />

Utility). Specify the table name <strong>for</strong> which you want limit key data, click Edit (see<br />

Figure 7-6 on page 115), and follow these steps:<br />

1. From the window ABAP Dictionary: Utility <strong>for</strong> Database Tables, choose<br />

Storage Parameters. See Figure 7-7 on page 116.<br />

2. From the window <strong>DB2</strong>/390 Storage Attributes: Table window, choose Goto →<br />

LIMITKEY Data. See Figure 7-11. If limitkey data has been collected be<strong>for</strong>e,<br />

then it will be displayed.<br />

To collect new limitkey data, specify the index on which you want to collect<br />

the limitkey data and the number of partitions that you want your table to<br />

have. Then choose LIMITKEY Data → Collect. A batch job is submitted.<br />

Monitor this job <strong>using</strong> the Jobs button or transaction SE37.<br />
