Jönköping Energi delivers electric<strong>it</strong>y, heat, cooling and<br />
broadband to over 55,000 customers in and around the<br />
c<strong>it</strong>y of Jönköping.<br />
The Gränna district heating plant was commissioned in<br />
2011 and supplies the small town of Gränna w<strong>it</strong>h fossil free<br />
district heating. The plant was built on a turn-key contract<br />
from HOTAB Eldningsteknik and applies the most up-todate<br />
combustion technology for biomass heating.<br />
Two HOTAB boilers of 2 MW each and a fl ue gas condensation<br />
un<strong>it</strong> is the heart of the plant.<br />

TORSVIK CHP WITH JÖNKÖPING ENERGI<br />
In the combined heat and power plant, energy from waste<br />
is converted to district heating and power enough to supply<br />
more than 15,000 single homes.<br />
Biological waste is pretreated at Torsvik to be further processed<br />
into biogas and bio-manure. The output from the<br />
Torsvik plant has replaced large amounts of fossil fuel,<br />
both in district heating production and in local and regional<br />
transport.<br />
