The global dimensions are shown in Figure 4-6. In a dedicated paragraph the interior of this main cylinder is presented. In Table 4-3 the pressurised volume is presented; it is less than the required 79 m 3 . The diameter of the SHM is kept small because free space is needed for the exhaust gasses of the engines of the MAV during ignition. To prevent contamination of Mars, the SHM may not been damaged
