"I am happy to be invited here for this significant event. Those who work here in HEC are engaged in building not only machines but
through them, they are building our nation, our India. We all are, thus, engaged in a gigantic task....
During the days of struggle for freedom, we were not promised a reward for a comfortable life. On the contrary our leasers asked us to
put up with difficulties and hardships, to be ready to go to jail and even to sacrifice life for the cause of the country..... I appeal to you
for your co-operation and for giving your best. Not that you will live a life of ease and comfort by doing so. Gone are the days of a life
of luxury for you or for me. If we want to see this ancient land march forward and influence world thought, then we have to work
and strive hard towards this end."
