with its obligations under the terms of the concession agreement and<br />

applicable Brazilian legislation.<br />

The concessionaire shall keep ANP constantly informed about the<br />

progress and results of the operations, in accordance with oil industry best<br />

practice including regarding timing and format. Based on such principles and<br />

without limiting its application, the concessionaire shall always have ready<br />

for ANP disposal, in addition to other documents required in the concession<br />

agreement, copies of maps, sections and profiles, geological and geophysical<br />

data and information, including interpretations, data, wells records and test,<br />

as well as reports and other documents defined in specific regulations, which<br />

contain the necessary information for the characterisation of the work process,<br />

obtained as a result of the operations.<br />

As long as within the limits of its attributions and competence, ANP<br />

may, upon the receipt of a written request of the concessionaire, authorise the<br />

location or construction of installations or equipment outside the concession<br />

area, in order to complement or optimise the logistics or infrastructure related<br />

to the operations.<br />

The planning and performance of any abandonment operations,<br />

including with regard to the areas, wells, structures, fields, transfer lines, parts<br />

or units of surface and subsurface installations, in land and in the sea, shall be<br />

done in accordance with applicable Brazilian legislation and oil industry best<br />

practice, as well as in observance of the provisions related to environment<br />

protection.<br />

The concessionaire shall adopt, at its own cost and risk, all the<br />

necessary measures for the conservation of reservoirs and other natural<br />

resources and for the protection of the air, soil and water in the surface or in<br />

the subsurface, subject to the Brazilian legislation and rules about<br />

environment and, in their absence or lack, adopting oil industry best practice<br />

with this regard. Within this principle, and without limiting its application,<br />

the concessionaire is obliged to, as a general rule, and with respect to the<br />

execution of the operations, as well as the relinquishment and abandonment<br />

of areas and removal and reversion of assets, to preserve the environment and<br />

protect the harmony of the ecosystem in the concession area, to avoid the<br />

occurrence of damage to the fauna, flora and the natural resources, to attend<br />
