Specification of the current coils:<br />

The hexapole magnet consists of six coils. The current in the coil is N·I=14.855A; the number of<br />

copper wire turns is N=24; thus the current in the wire is I=619A. The maximal consumed electrical<br />

power of the sextupole magnet is 20 kW.<br />

Each coil consists of a water-cooled radiator and one segment of copper, radiation-resistant wire<br />

wound in 2 layers. The section of the current coil is covered by tin-lead solder. The cross-section of<br />

the current coil is shown in Figure 2.4.57.<br />
