The cross section of the coil is 45 mm × 50 mm. Its position is given by its centre coordinates,<br />

which is: x0 = 0.4826 m and y0=0.061872 m. The maximum current density in the coil is 110<br />

A/mm 2 which yields a maximum field in the yoke of 1.98 T and a maximum pole-tip field of 1.75 T.<br />

Field properties:<br />

Generally the field deviation inside the circle with a radius of 300 mm is less than 3·10 -4 relative<br />

units in the whole operation range from 0 ÷ 5 T/m. The corresponding field distributions along a<br />

circle with a radius of 300 mm are shown in Figure 2.4.53.<br />
