Cryogenic Supply<br />

All test benches for superconducting magnets will be supplied with helium by a refrigerator named<br />

"CryoST" as described in section 2.4.A4.2.1.<br />

• Refrigerator<br />

o The refrigerator capacity and cold helium piping to the magnet feedboxes will be<br />

provided by the cryogenics group. The test benches will be supplied with a 4 K (3<br />

bar) and a 50 K supply line, and with a 4 K (≤1 bar to allow Temperatures ≤ 4 K, if<br />

necessary), an 80 K and a 300 K return line.<br />

o We assume that a refrigeration power of about 1700 W@4.4 K and 2000 W@50-80<br />

K are required for standard operation of the test facility.<br />
