from McCauley’s Beach Estate. A drop-in session will be held<br />

Centre and Library on Wednesday 22 <strong>August</strong> from 5.30–7pm.<br />

Proposed Changes to Access<br />
of East Corrimal Off-Leash Area<br />
<strong>Council</strong> is inviting the community to have their say on proposed<br />
changes to the main access point to the existing off-leash area<br />
at East Corrimal Beach. Only the access point to the off-leash<br />
area would be affected by this proposed change.<br />
FAQ sheets, a map of proposed changes to the access of<br />
off-leash area and feedback forms are on <strong>Council</strong>’s website.<br />
The consultation period commenced Wednesday 25 July and<br />
runs until Wednesday 22 <strong>August</strong> <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
Planning Proposal and Draft Revised<br />
Neighbourhood Plan – Wongawilli Village Plan<br />
40 Wongawilli Road (Lot 3 DP 1169628) and 26 Wongawilli<br />

The above land is the subject of a Planning Proposal which,<br />

• Relocate the designated Wongawilli Neighbourhood Centre<br />

<strong>Wollongong</strong> Development Control Plan 2009 – Chapter D16<br />

Chapter D16, to guide development within the specifi ed<br />
neighbourhood/precinct. <strong>Council</strong> is seeking feedback on a<br />
draft revised Wongawilli North Neighbourhood Plan.<br />

exhibition between 11 <strong>August</strong> and 10 September <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

Celebration<br />
North Beach Bathers Pavilion – We Want<br />
Your Photos<br />
Have you any photos of the North Beach Bathers Pavilion’s opening<br />
in 1938? If you do, <strong>Council</strong> wants to hear from you.<br />
We’re planning a special community celebration on Sunday<br />
30 September to mark the reopening of the North Beach Bathers<br />
Pavilion. And to help make the festivities even more special, we’re<br />
calling upon the community to fi ll a gap in our archives. We’re asking<br />
people to dig out the family albums and see if there are any<br />
old photographs of the Pavilion from its opening celebrations on<br />
12 November 1938. We’re also keen to hear from anyone who is<br />
related to the <strong>Council</strong>lors who opened the building back in 1938.<br />
If anyone has any photographs, or are descendants of the 1938<br />
<strong>Council</strong>lors, <strong>Council</strong>’s Customer Service team would love to hear<br />
from you. Photographs can either be donated to <strong>Wollongong</strong><br />
Central Library’s Local Studies section, or electronically scanned<br />
and returned to their owners.<br />

Love Food Hate Waste – School Competition<br />
$1,000 worth of cash and prizes up for grabs<br />
We’re looking for creative kids who can come up with great ways<br />
to reuse leftovers and ingredients from the pantry, fridge or freezer.<br />
It’s all part of a school competition for infants and primary<br />
schools in our Local Government Area.<br />
The competition is part of our community education program on<br />
waste management and minimisation, and winners will be invited<br />
to <strong>Council</strong>’s Reuse Cook-Off in the <strong>Wollongong</strong> Botanic Garden.<br />
