THE MODEL FILE TRANSLATOR MEDUSA 4 3D Design The MEDUSA to Model Interface Format program (MEDMIF) translates the data in a binary model file into a new format and writes the translated data to an ASCII character file. The ASCII file can be read by programs using either standard formatted FORTRAN READ statements or a Bacis2-type interface. Since the Model Interface Format (MIF) file is an ASCII file, it can be sent to a printer or modified using a standard editor. • The Structure of a Model File................................................. 458 • The Structure of a MIF File .................................................... 459 • Description of MEDMIF.......................................................... 460 • Running MEDMIF .................................................................. 462 • Specification of the MIF File Format ...................................... 468 • MEDMIF Commands ............................................................. 475 © CAD Schroer GmbH 457
