we are pleased to present to you the latest version of<br />

our real-time simulation and software test<strong>in</strong>g platform<br />

W<strong>in</strong>MOD <strong>7.0</strong>.<br />

In recent years, much functionality of W<strong>in</strong>MOD proved<br />

stable, versatile and <strong>in</strong> fact ahead of its time. Even so,<br />

several <strong>new</strong> developments were <strong>in</strong>corporated,<br />

concern<strong>in</strong>g the coupl<strong>in</strong>g of automation systems, the<br />

performance of add-ons, know-how protection, the<br />

efficiency of workflows, etc.<br />

A major trend shows that <strong>in</strong> several branches W<strong>in</strong>MOD<br />

becomes <strong>in</strong>tegral to over-all project performance. For<br />

th<strong>is</strong> purpose W<strong>in</strong>MOD provides <strong>new</strong> means for<br />

<strong>in</strong>tegration <strong>in</strong>to the over-all data flow.<br />

marketed, and it was successful s<strong>in</strong>ce it was a tool from practitioners<br />

for practitioners. Th<strong>is</strong> basic usage <strong>is</strong> still the core and it <strong>is</strong> still simple<br />

and fast. But today's W<strong>in</strong>MOD <strong>7.0</strong> provides also much more . . .<br />

fluently <strong>in</strong>tegrates with various real time systems. The extended<br />

data exchange with eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g data bases, etc. Th<strong>is</strong> reflects the<br />

In order to <strong>in</strong>crease the readability of names<br />

of Internal Analog Formats, the nam<strong>in</strong>g<br />

convention for physical and eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g<br />

units was developed*.<br />

The names of the default Internal Analog<br />

Formats for 0 to 100 % and -100 to 100 %<br />

now follow th<strong>is</strong> convention.<br />

graphical wir<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Now, the format def<strong>in</strong>ed for the operand of<br />

assigned also to the graphical wir<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Based on parameterizable SIMLINE<br />

Libraries <strong>in</strong>stallations for material flow can<br />

be generated from a table oriented data<br />

base. Th<strong>is</strong> data base <strong>is</strong> called the<br />

SIMLINE Layouter.<br />

In the SIMLINE Layouter, conveyor<br />

elements are parameterized for size,<br />

position, orientation and sensors as given<br />

by the real <strong>in</strong>stallation. From these data,<br />

the SIMLINE Layout <strong>is</strong> generated.<br />

An <strong>in</strong>tegrated system for connection<br />

The PROFINET devices that are to be simulated are<br />
