System interconnection of <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>and</strong> S7-PLCSIM, the S7 simulation by SIEMENS.<br />
Realization of partly or completely virtual automation plants including real-time<br />
process simulation.<br />
Software testing of AS programs (HMI, <strong>ST</strong>EP 7/ PCS 7).<br />
Implementation of a cost-efficent testing environment <strong>with</strong>out real AS hardware, e.g. <strong>for</strong><br />
simulation of devices <strong>and</strong> plants to train operating <strong>and</strong> maintenance personnel.<br />
Signal transfer between <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>and</strong> S7-PLCSIM on the same machine is accomplished<br />
using a specific COM interface.<br />
There are no modifications needed in regard to the <strong>ST</strong>EP 7 program.<br />
From <strong>WinMOD</strong> version 5.1 read <strong>and</strong> write access is provided <strong>for</strong>:<br />
- S7 I/O image memory (I/Q),<br />
- I/O peripheral image (PI/PQ),<br />
- flag memory (M), <strong>and</strong><br />
- data blocks (DB).<br />
