<strong>Co</strong>nstruction: The pillar fire hydrant type 494, design AUD with additional check valve<br />

fulfills in all details the requirements and test procedures of the DIN 3222, DIN 3230 and<br />

the DVGW workingsheet W 331.<br />

Flange acc. to DIN EN 1092-2<br />

Technical features: Automatic draining and protection against backflow and pressurised<br />

water, linkage locking device, maintenance free sealing of stem extension.<br />

Materials: Bottom, lower and upper part of pillar and bonnet nut made of ductile cast<br />

iron acc. to DIN EN 1563. Operating cap, outlets and outlet covers: aluminium. Stem, linkage,<br />

drainage plate, all bolts and nuts made of stainless steel. Stem nut, stem bearing support,<br />

lower and upper part of breaking and locking ring made of brass. Seat ring: brass, gummed.<br />

Obturator made of ductile cast iron, gummed and all O-rings made of high quality elastomer.<br />

All rubber parts: EPDM<br />

<strong>Co</strong>rrosion protection:<br />

Inside: Bottom, upper and lower part of pillar with<br />

blue enamel<br />

Outside: Bottom and lower part of pillar: Base enamel plus<br />

epoxy resin coating RAL 3001<br />

Upper part of pillar: base enamel plus polyurethan<br />

spray coating RAL 3001<br />

<strong>Co</strong>louring RAL 3001 = signal-red<br />
