FROM THE ST. PETER BEYOND HOUSING MINISTRY!
We just completed a busy December and we'd like to say thanks.
On December 8, we held our 6th annual "Breakfast with Santa"
for approximately 100 children and parents in the Beyond
Housing program. We'd like to thank all who helped, especially
our awesome "Faith in Action" partners - the 5th graders and their
parents who assisted. It was a fun morning of food, crafts,
storytelling and a visit with Santa.
On December 12 we delivered several carloads of gifts for
Beyond Housing families through our parish support for the
annual Adopt a Family program. We were humbled once again
by the generosity of our parish family. With your help, we
provided for the six families in severe need that were assigned to
us, plus we had many donations of toys and gift cards for other
families. A special shout-out to the teachers and staff of St. Peter
School who provided new winter coats, hats and gloves for all the
children in our assigned families.
We'll keep you informed about our outreach activities for Beyond
Housing in 2013 and we are grateful for your continued support.

THANK YOU FROM THE GIVING TREE MINISTRY
The Giving Tree Ministry would like to thank everyone who
supported the 2012 Giving Tree. Once again the parishioners of
St. Peter showed their overwhelming generosity by donating
nearly 3000 gifts and $4000 in gift cards. Kirkcare, New
Covenant Ministries, YWCA Headstart and Fostering Faithful
Families were very grateful for all donations. Many thanks to the
many volunteers who helped by hanging ornaments, carrying and
sorting the gifts. A special thank you to the 5th & 6th graders at
St Peter School.

parishioner Jeff Bettag, ACE personal trainer, January 9th at
7:00PM or January 12th at 11:00AM, Ursuline Hall, for a
"Get Healthy in 2013" talk! Space is limited so call

St. Peter Yoga Fusion Class
St. Peter Yoga is back with a different format. We are offering a
yoga fusion class which is mostly yoga with some added core
work. The class is taught by Catherine Enslin of St. Peter Parish.
Catherine is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor and an
ACE certified personal trainer.
Date: Tuesdays January 8, 15, 22, 29, - No Class January 1, 2013
Time: 5:30 to 6:30pm
Cost: $20.00 for 4 week session
Drop in classes are $8.00
Class minimum is at least 10 people registered
to have the class continue.
Location: Msgr. Deutschmann Room

SILVER STREAKS EXERCISE PROGRAM AT ST. PETER…
Come join us on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:00 PM in
Ursuline Hall in the Msgr. Deutschmann Room.
This is a good hour-long workout that isn’t too strenuous. It will
get you moving and keep those joints mobile. Silver Streaks is a
chair-based class to benefit people with arthritis, stiffness or who
just want to keep moving. Maybe you are looking for something
to get you started, to go with your walking program or to add
some variety. The program is designed to improve overall
flexibility, balance and strength. Try it, you will like it. Cost is
only $5.00 per session, payable on the day you attend. The
instructor, Holly Ohmes, is certified by the Arthritis Foundation.

PEACE IN MOTION . . .
Tai Chi is back! Join the Peace in Motion classes at 9:00AM on
Thursday in Ursuline Hall. Just $5 a class. Learn gentle
movement that clears the body of tensions, focuses the mind, and
renews the spirit.

Today we celebrate the fact that Christ came to all of us, not just
the Hebrews. He made us all one body with Him. Because God
has given us different gifts, we all have different yet equally
valuable roles to play in the Body of Christ. If one of us does not
play his or her role the whole body suffers. How will you play
your role this year?
