12
10 factors for the optimum compressed air supply
1 Anticipatory purchase
Do not put imperatively your current need in the foreground when
buying a compressor. Please also check the future intended use and
then decide about the correct size.
2 Suction capacity
The suction capacity does not correspond to the air quantity which
is in fact available. Please only consider the delivered capacity of the
compressor and make sure that you have planned sufficient power
supplies before purchasing a compressor. A good setting of the
filling performance and the air requirement guarantees best possible
working.
3 Air quantity
The air mass complies with your requirements. This results from the
use of tools, machines and other compressed air devices. At this it is
necessary to consider the filling capacity of the compressor and the
work assignment which needs to be performed.
4 working pressure
It is necessary for the construction of your new compressor to
determine the correct working pressure of your tools and machines.
Excessive operating pressures do not result in efficiency but they
increase the compressed air consumption, the operating cost and the
wear of the machines.
5 Equipment
Aircraft compressors are richly equipped as standard. Furthermore we
offer you comprehensive accessories. The exact equipment features
are described on the following pages
in the box "Technical data", accessories are mentioned separately.
6 Compressed air quality
Badly processed compressed air which is soiled with particles,
humidity and oil leads to increased susceptibility to failure of your
compressed air devices and machines. Increased wear and
achievement losses are resulting hereof. Furthermore insufficiently
processed compressed air brings contaminations into your working
process which may result in high reworking cost for instance when
performing lacquering works.
7 Compressor rooms and installation
With the AIRCRAFT ® compressed air stations we are offering you
optimum solutions at smallest space. The heat generated by the
compressor has to be dissipated. Adequately dimensioned inlets and
outlets are to be provided.
8 Utilization of the compressor
For continuous compressed air consumption we recommended
an AIRCRAFT ® screw-type compressor which you may use for
continuous operation. If you only have an intermittent compressed air
requirement, you are often best advised to use an AIRCRAFT ® piston
compressor. You may use both systems combined in order to cover
peak loads. The new premium series of highest efficiency can be
integrated seamlessly.
